The Rachofsky House

THE RACHOFSKY HOUSE

The north staircase, seen here at right, is cantilevered off the north end of the granite podium, extending towards the pond and red oak trees.

The construction of the house began in the fall of 1993, and Howard Rachofsky moved in three years later in the fall of 1996.

The house is designed to incorporate the two large red oak trees, seen here at left. Richard Long's <i>Rochechouart Circle</i> (1990), and Liz Larner's <i>2 as 3 and Some Too...</i> (1999), are installed in the back yard here.
